Where are you located? 

Oak View is just south of Owatonna, conveniently located off of Interstate Highway 35, south of the Twin Cities, between Mankato and Rochester.

Owatonna has a variety of hotel accommodations and Oak View provides a list of shuttle service options for optimal guest care and safety. 

How do we officially reserve the date?

To reserve your date, bride and groom must sign a venue rental contract. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due at signing. Oak View accepts cash or check. 

Do you have on site parking?

Oak View has ample parking available on site! Guests are allowed to leave their cars overnight for safety; however, cars must be picked up by 10am the next day.

Can we choose the vendors?

You are welcome to bring in your desired photographer, DJ, and officiant!

Oak View provides a list of 10 wonderful catering options for you to choose from! Our caterers offer a wide variety of menu options and price ranges.

Since our caterers are independent, Oak View does not require you to meet any food or liquor minimums!

What is the max capacity and hours of rental? 

Our maximum capacity is 225 people!

Venue use is from 10am to midnight. Alcohol last call is 10:30pm, music ends at 11pm. Decoration removal from 11pm-mightnight. 

Is this venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes! Oak View provides handicap accessible lighted parking, bathrooms, and one level entertaining spaces. 

Can we choose the layout for table and chairs?

Yes! Oak View provides a combination of round and rectangle banquet tables that each seat eight guests. Oak View staff will be available to assist in arranging table how you prefer.

Does Oak View provide set up and tear down?

Oak View provides set up and tear down of all tables, chairs and linens. 

Can we bring in our own decorations? 

Absolutely! In fact, you only need to provide decorations for your centerpieces and wedding arch! You are more than welcome to discuss with Oak View staff prior to your date, if you have any personalized items or themes you may want to bring in. Bridal party is responsible for clean-up of all decorations no later than midnight of the event. 

  • Battery candles only, no air-floating lanterns, no glitter, confetti, silly string, pyrotechnics, plastic flower petals or small-piece decorations. Sparklers may be used only for sendoff/photo op, weather permitting only. 

Are there linens available to rent? 

Yes! Oak View provides white or black linens for $10 per linen. Payable day of wedding.

Does your facility have heat and air conditioning? 

All buildings have heat and air conditioning! We also have four space heaters available to rent for $100 each to keep guests comfortable outside on those chilly nights. Payable day of wedding. 

Are there any activities?

Kids and adults can have fun playing cornhole and giant Jenga! There is also a playground onsite for the younger ones. 

Is there a fireplace?

Yes! In fact, we have three! Oak View has three fantastic fire seating areas to watch the dance, visit quietly or cook a s'more! 

What if it rains?

Our reception building provides a great option for plan B in case of rain or inclement weather. We can host ceremony, dinner and dance indoors if needed. 

Do you allow pets?

Bride and groom may include their pet for pictures and ceremony only. Bride and groom are responsible for looking after and cleaning up after their pet. No other pets permitted. 

Do you allow smoking? 

Smoking is permitting in one designated outdoor area only.
